Acquiring immovable property by transaction requires registration. Older title documents, inheritance and rights arising under special rules need separate examination. Lack of registration does not always represent the same legal position.

Practical example

An old ownership document exists but no modern cadastral entry. That differs from an oral sale or possession of utility receipts alone.

What to do

Collect title documents, archive material and a survey. Establish whether first registration, document clarification or dispute resolution is needed. Occupation alone does not replace a proper ownership basis.
