Short answer
Several agents can be appointed, but the document should say whether they act independently or jointly. Ambiguity risks disputes over whether one signature suffices. Each person’s authority should be clear.
Practical example
Two relatives are appointed to sell. If joint action was intended, a transaction signed by only one may be problematic.
What to do
Specify the arrangement and powers expressly. Allocate functions, receipt of money and substitution if needed. Address the effect of revoking one appointment and notice of changes.
Legal basis
Georgian Civil Code — Articles 103, 104, 107, 108. Checked on 28 October 2026. The outcome depends on the contract, facts and evidence.
