Short answer
Revocation by the principal terminates authority. Proper notice matters: the law limits relying against third parties on a revocation they did not know about. Oral notice to the agent may be insufficient.
Practical example
Sale authority is revoked, but the buyer was unaware. Notice timing and good faith become important.
What to do
Contact the relevant notary or document revocation in the appropriate form. Notify the agent and known third parties with receipt evidence. Request return of the document and check completed transactions; revocation does not automatically undo them.
Legal basis
Georgian Civil Code — Articles 108, 109, 110. Checked on 28 October 2026. The outcome depends on the contract, facts and evidence.
