Short answer
A representative may sell property within properly granted authority. The power of attorney must clearly cover disposal and necessary steps. Sale authority does not automatically settle every detail of receiving the price.
Practical example
The agent may sign the sale, but authority to receive money into a personal account is unclear. Resolve that risk in the document.
What to do
Check the property, principal’s identity, term and revocation. Address price or discretion, payment, registry representation and self-dealing. Foreign documents may require additional formalities.
Legal basis
Georgian Civil Code — Articles 103, 104, 107–109, 114, 183. Checked on 28 October 2026. The outcome depends on the contract, facts and evidence.
