An owner may demand return where the possessor has no right to possess. First check any tenancy, use agreement or other basis. While it remains valid, an ownership extract alone may not justify immediate vacancy.

Practical example

A former tenant remains. Check whether the tenancy was properly terminated and what notices were served.

What to do

Retain the extract, agreement, dates and demand to leave. Use lawful remedies rather than entering or removing belongings yourself. If ownership is disputed, its basis may need judicial assessment.
