If a corridor is common property, one owner’s wish does not make it private space. Check title, the association decision and building requirements. Long use or physically blocking it does not itself establish lawful disposal.

Practical example

A neighbour installs a door and incorporates the passage. Establish ownership of the space and whether others’ access is restricted.

What to do

Collect the plan, extract, photographs and any meeting minutes. Write to the association. If shared use or safety is affected, consider removal of interference and an appropriate administrative inspection.
