A gift between parent and child genuinely transfers ownership. Kinship does not leave the donor in permanent control. A claim must rely on a specific legal ground relating to the gift, not simply the fact that the parent bought the property.

Practical example

A child moving out does not automatically constitute ingratitude. A serious insult to the donor may require a different assessment.

How to prepare

Establish whether promised assistance was a contractual condition or an informal family expectation. Keep correspondence and requests for help; general opinions from witnesses may not suffice.
