A stoppage does not yet establish permanent impossibility of performance. Examine its cause, duration and current contractual deadlines. Developer obligations, termination and actual recovery of funds require separate assessment.

Practical example

No work has occurred for months and new dates are only given orally. A written plan and acknowledgement of the obligation are more useful to the buyer.

What to do

Check the registry, payment evidence and the company’s official response. Do not automatically sign an indefinite extension. Assess additional deadlines, repayment and preservation of existing rights before agreeing.
