Missing the deadline does not always mean permanently losing the inheritance. First check whether you accepted it through actual possession or management in time. Otherwise, a court extension or acceptance with the consent of all accepting heirs may be possible.

An overseas heir learns of the death late. Living abroad alone does not automatically establish a valid excuse.
