Short answer

First establish who receives payment and for what: a fixed-price car sale, intermediary services or transport. Duties and refund grounds depend on that distinction.

Practical example

Someone receives auction-purchase and delivery money, but the record says only ‘advance’. Auction, transport and service costs remain unclear.

What to do

Specify parties, the VIN or selection criteria, all costs, a final deadline and payment stages. State the payment purpose in the transfer.

Points to consider

An auction photograph or receipt does not establish all service terms. Foreign participants’ responsibilities require separate checks.
